I'm not really a video kinda guy - but after playing around with (and being fairly disappointed with) Animoto for a slideshow of some of my later aerial work, I decided to do it myself. Same music, most of the same pictures, and a couple hours work using proshow. Friends and family like it, and it kicks butt on a 55" screen in HD :)

good stuff!!
What I am curious about is:

1) What kind of plane is it taken from?
2) What glass used?

Most of them are from a high-wing light twin (like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjwwdJfioiI&feature=related)) with open windows.

The equipment was Nikon D200 and D300, mostly using a 1974-vintage Nikkor Qc 135mm/f2.8 - some images may have been with a Nikkor 50mm/f1.8 or Tokina 12-24.

I can only echo the statements of all of those above me - you did a FANTASTIC job - I guessed that you had between 100 and 150 shot - all great photography.
I to am a little dissapointed with Animoto and am going to investigate Pro Show and some others.
Thanks again for placing the video for all to see and certainly enjoy.

Mine has a hole in the floor, but when the doors are open it's usually plugged with a high def stabilized camera deployed.

Nice stuff. I wish I could multi task and do some stills too.

That looks familiar but we ordered the non-observer version :D

Easier access with the front door too. No climbing over seats and gives us a little more panel space. The third GPS (far left) is mainly for running the camera.

We're doing still-images but still have a video link. When I wrote the camera software I moved all the video monitor functions to the laptop too. I usually have the laptop rotated over to the left so it's out of the way.

That's beautiful. Other than the camera bay, the observer variant doesn't do much for us other than keep the pilot tan. Our camera deploys below the aircraft on a motorized mount and it's position inside makes the e-window useless other than sneaking your hand behind the mount and cracking it for ventilation. It's always great seeing what other people are doing with this platform. I'm glad the plane's working out for because your images are fantastic. Maybe someday I'll be able to try and get something other than snaps through the window.

Reminds me of the Above series on PBS. I like that kind of stuff.

Thanks for posting the "how to" parts too.
