Hi,

I'm in the market for a high-volume photo printer for business purposes. Can anyone point me to a few models? I tried google but I mostly got the $60 home versions.

Thanks!

I moved this to the Digital Darkroom Gear where you can find some other printer discussions.

What size prints do you need?

Ink jet, laser jet, thermal, dye sub ...?

Speed and volume (monthly duty cycle)?

Color accuracy and/or color managed RIP?

Computer platform (Mac, Win, Linux)?

Connection(s) (USB, WiFi, ...)?

Paper/media type supported?

Anything else you can think of that would help define our answers?

thanks for your reply.

i have no idea what kind of machine i need. perhaps i can share with you what i have in mind and then you guys can help me choose what i need.

around where i am there is no online photo printing service like Shutterfly yet, so my friends and i are brainstorming if we could make it work where we are.

that said, what kind of photo printing machine do you think i need? which one has the best quality for an economical per-copy price?

thanks

Fuji Frontier printers and minilabs are what many XMart stores use and what many online print facilities use too. For larger format prints (up to 76cm width) maybe look at a DURST Theta 76.
