just saw an opportunity at a shot I knew had potential...just wish I had been able to compose carefully and really think about all settings before snapping off a couple. I still like the way it turned out, but maybe it should have been better....

it's really good, keith.

i think this would also make a stunning bw shot - here it is, channel mixer, 50/50/0 monochrome followed by a black/white curves adjustment and then a 19% luminosity toning layer.

really a well-executed shot, keith :clap :clap :clap

I think this is a great shot. I like how you have some of the fence in the frame that is submerged in the sand and some that is not. The sky is blown out but it looks like it was hard lighting and a very bright day.

I like Andy's B&W also. Thanks for telling how you made it.

I appreciate the input and value your comments. I actually did a quick black and white version and almost posted it as well...here's my try...the sky actually was kinda white as it was overcast but very bright at the same time. I'm headed back to the beach in a week or so, so maybe I'll revisit the scene.

Regards...Keith

PS...check out a copy of Barron's (the business newspaper published on weekends) this coming weekend. (You don't have to buy - but check the pictures - there should be at least one amusing one in there.)
