Comments not showing on my galleries ?

Good evening, I'm hopeing for some fast help here :D

I just uploaded five photos from a even from this weekend and someone has already left me about 8 comments on them. Several mos ago I had a friend tell me they left a comment for me but I never could find it and never thought about it again until right now :dunno.

I have leave comments selected to allow them but they dont show up anywhere, where or how do I view them ?

look in your control panel and see all your comments. perhaps you have comment approval enabled?

Andy, wow that was fast, I should have expected that with all the good folk here.

I'm not sure Any, I saw a (number) stateing i had some comments in my control panel but i didnt see the comments, I do have it where I am e-mailed when I get a comment, but just cant see or find them anywhere. I have seen comments on other SM users sites. So Im still not sure what to do.

I check my prefrences for my galeries and comments are enabled :dunno

Ok, I officially feel stupid now:rofla simple click on the (Number of comments) showed me the comments, But why do they not show up on the actual gallery like I have seen on other SM accounts ?

like i said :D becuase i think you have comment approval enabled. so you haven't likely approved any of the comments that have been left.

lOL Poppa Wheelie eh ? I noticed at the top it said " Enable Comment Approval" So I just clicked it and now says " Disable comment approval" Was it set right the first time or should I leave as is now?

I have a comment display question...

I have enabled comments and set them to require approval. I received an e-mail a little while ago that a comment had been submitted for one of my photos. I went to the control panel and clicked on the pending approval number. I clicked the button to approve the comment. Several minutes have passed during which time I have refreshed the page multiple times, but the "comments" still shows "0" for this photo and the comment that I approved is not displayed.

I then clicked "add comment" to this photo and added my own comment. As soon as I submitted that comment, the comments number under the photo displayed as "1" and clicking on the "1" displayed the lady's comment. Returning to the photo page, back to 0 comments, refresh the page, still 0 comments.

I returned to the control panel and saw that my own comment was now awaiting approval. I approved my own comment. I returned to the page - 0 comments. I refreshed the page - no comments. I clicked to add another comment - the box shows up, I enter the comment, I click save and, voila, it now says I have 2 comments. I click to read the comments and there they both are, the approved comments. I return to the photo page, back to 0 comments. Refresh, still 0 comments...
I assume that there's an explanation for this but I can't figure out what it is:scratch ...can anybody help me?

EDIT: Um, they're showing up now...just some sort of delay while the server processes stuff or something, I guess?

FURTHER EDIT: Okay, I just finally found in another topic a reference from JT to the initial comment count being displayed incorrectly due to a bug that was to be fixed today. I guess it has now been fixed. Smugmug rocks!
