Morning all,
Wasn't sure where to post this--I don't think it belongs in people or street/pj--sooooo here I am, even though they are portraits.
This is my husband--a long-time smoker--I hate the habit, I really do, and many an argument has been had about his nicotine addiction.
Having said that--when I think of him, this is the image that comes to mind. He reminds me of an old school Latin actor, a la Desi Arnaz (btw, he's Cuban too). I will never tell him this of course:) Don't want to encourage his smoking.
I think I managed to capture him and the certain way he has about him.
Any comments appreciated--(yes I know he should quit).

Nice shots of the hubby Liz. He looks to be a real character. The B/W worked great to create a vintage look, the 1st shot is classic. He really sets the cig. deep between his fingers.

I like the last photo -- I've seen many a man take a drag off a smoke like that.

Thanks Wendell:)
He is a character--looks wise, straight out of the 50's.
I liked how he came out in the b&w as well--
Funny you say that about the way he holds his cig--hate that he smokes--love the way he looks when he does (he will never know this)--I like the way he holds it--funny no?
Thanks for commenting.

lol--
I'll have to tell him this, he'll get a kick out of it--he carries himself that way, and he probably looks it--but he's far from.

Thanks Mary,
Photos of people smoking are probably not very in right now what with all the health concerns, so I wasn't sure how these would fly--but I'm glad you like it.

Thank you Azzaro.
Was it the nagging that made you quit--I can try and re-double my efforts :rofl --Unfortunately it seems to have the opposite effect.
Glad the shot works for you.

Liz I really like the tritych. You've captured an edge, an attitude that reminds me of old 1960s movies here. Great treatment. You've got a great eye.

Howdy Liz,
Oh My, these are really, really good.
The moods and looks you've captured are just classic compositions
and so strong in the mood and feel they give off.
I think you should shoot more of these, they would make a wonderful Book!!!
Very nicely done, I forgot to write on the processing, that to me is what takes these over the top!!!

Wow Craig, thank you:lust .
I love b&w, so I was happy to play with these. I only had him for as long as he had to finish smoking his cigarrette, so I was glad I was able to walk away with some good ones and that I did the shots justice with the processing.
Again, thank you.
