I've used the one that came with the Sandisk Extreme, RescuePro, and have recovered all the
deleted pics. But I had moved the pics from the card to the pc and not reformated. I rarely
ever reformat a disk, either copy and delete or mostly just move. Even with a format I think
they are all still there.
I paid the extra amount for the extreme, about $15 over the ultra just to get the rescue software,
great insurance. Stand alone it was about $40 at the time. Still well worth having recovery software
available.
Good luck,
AL

I've used Lexar's Image Rescue 2 and it worked. Files on a Lexar card that PS or DPP couldn't see, were eventually opened and saved by it. The program came with my Lexar 2GB 80x card. Do you have it?

I'll second every single one of those notes about the Sandisk Recovery software. We use the software at work to recover people's images.
You'll need:
- The mini-CD that the software comes on
- Card reader
It's recovered files that were deleted up to 2 formats back.
Great excuse to get a new extreme card :rofl
But seriously, find a small camera shop and haggle until the price comes down low enough, then run home and save those photos!

Oh, and the camera store is screwing their customers.
My store does it for 50$/2 weeks, or in-store (using the recovery software) for 10$ + 5.99$ for the disc.
--------
EDIT: Otherwise, I can try to snag a copy of the software today for you out of an open-box card, and bring it home and upload the files to my site for you... (since no one "owns" the liscence yet :wink)

I need to amend my remarks. I've never tried to recover images from a card that's been reformatted.

I have used Photorescue (http://www.datarescue.com/photorescue/index.htm) with excellent results. My card had been borrowed by a friend and had corrupt issues during the Lexar 80x/Canon 1D mkII problems. It found a lot of old files on there, so it worked well and was easy to use. :thumb
