I've finally learned that they make great Egret snacks :rofl :D Thanks, he's on an auto antenna. Not very natural but at least he didn't move. Gotta start somewhere.
These show alittle more detail of the underside.

Neat Shots! :thumb His color fits in well with the Anetenna, he almost has a chrome appearance to him.

I was hoping for the 3 headed fire breathing variety. :): Nice shots. Like the color, sharpness of those. I've not nailed (or seen) a dragonfly yet. :dunno Someday soon..perhaps?

I did not see in your profile what camera you are shooting with, Allen.

Are you using a P&S or a DSLR? The background could be more blurred if shot at a wider aperature if you are using a DSLR. WIth a P&S, it will be harder to blur the background more due to the greater DOF of the smaller lenses and sensors.

had the 828 at f8. I did run a heavy NR on the background and probably should have
added a bit of blur.
