From a one day trip last weekend.

#1 - A 2.5 minute exposure under the full moon

Ron, you got some incredible photos at Crater Lake!!!! I really would be hard pressed to pick any favorites out of the ones that you have shown here and the other day. They are all incredible!!
My 2 favorite times of the day are sunrise and sunset and you have done a superb job here with sunrise!!

#1 is great! I ike how the cloud movement mimics the snow's texture. Very nice set!

Thanks! It's definitely more photogenic in the winter, but more accessible in the summer.

Thanks Ron, all I had to do was point the camera and make sure the lens cap was off, the scenery took care of the rest :D

Thanks Chris, I'm glad I made the decision to drive 18 hours on 2 hours of sleep!

Fantastic shots, I have never been there in the winter but after seeing these I should look into making the trip. Is the hotel open in the winter?

Nope, Crater Lake Lodge is closed in the winter, I just slept in the car for a few hours.
