Nice little walkaround lens that allows a closeness to about 8 inches. I was looking at buying a 100mm macro lens, but this will do for now.
Found a surprise spider in one of the close ups...lucky catch.

Thanks everyone. I'll have to go back out there and see if the spidey is still around. I never saw him while shooting! They were all pretty small.
1/400sec, f8, 105mm, shutter priority-
I was pretty happy about the lens in the bright sun. This is a crop of full photo, NO processing whatsoever....amazing clarity on this one, would have been better if the wings were more in the dof. But that tongue was right on! I was just sitting there and she landed by me about 18 inches a way, lol. Poifect! lol She was a little ham. came back a few times to check me out, lol.:):
