The last game of the regular season. It was rained so hard I kept putting away my camera to protect it.

The Braves had an incredible first inning and scored 7. We lost track of the Diamondback's errors.

The D'Back's best hitters were flat lined.

D'Backs' morale was in the toilet:

By the time the score was 12-0, the Braves fans had to struggle to avoid unseemly gloating.

Finally in the 5th inning, the D'Backs' catcher scored a run with a single and a series of steals, sparking a rally.

In the bottom of the 5th, it was 12-5, bases loaded and 2 out. My son came up to bat.

I wish this story had a happy ending, but Max struck out, the rain became a torrent, and the game was called after the 5th. The ending score was 12-5. Oh well, on to the playoffs.

Easily my two favorites. Nice expression and color on the girl. And an outstanding sports action shot of the batter.

Excellent job! I haven't enjoyed a baseball game as much as I have enjoyed these shots since before that hated MLB strike!! I agree with Lynn, I have to say my favorite is easily #4!

Safe by a mile. I think the runner's foot was already on the plate in this shot. In fact the pitcher (who ran in to cover home) bobbled it.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Interesting how fitting the pictures into a little narrative seems to have increased their appeal.
