Personally, I like the B+W better. I think it could use some sharpening in the bottom left and maybe a bit more contrasting(ill get to that once i am on my comp with photoshop). However, for all you photoshop geniouses - is there anything I can do in the color photograph to get rid of all the color from the light? What else do you all think should/could be improved?

thanks!

Any argument to keep the shot as color would be that prismatic light beaming down from the top center. That effect alone is pretty cool.

That said, the B&W version also does the job nicely. The tonality in this monochrome shot conveys the same scene to the viewer in much the same way. If color adds nothing more, then this image is ripe for the B&W treatment.

I prefer the B&W. I'd be tempted to up the Selective Color/Black and also try a bit of a duotone.
