http://www.photodesignbynora.com (http://www.photodesignbynora.com/)

I seem to be having problems accessing my site, using the link above. It takes me to some sort of "landing page" -- I have no idea what it is, rather than redirecting to my SmugMug site. :(

It only happens when I type "www" in front of the domain, not when I just put in photodesignbynora.com. I have been online with my hosting service for an hour now, and they claim they are able to access it just fine with the "www" in front of the domain. Every computer I try here gets me a funky landing page, not my site. They say there is nothing they can do and it must be an ISP issue on my end.

Before I go calling my ISP and screaming at them, I want to make sure the hosting company is not giving me a bunch of bunk. This is something new and it was working before.

They way I have it set up is my domain has an index page that redirects the person to my smugmug site. Again, sans "WWW" it works, but with it it doesn't for me. What is anyone else getting?

That link is taking me to your smugmug site, but the name changes to http://nkramer.smugmug.com/. Do you have your custom URL forwarded to your smug domain? It shouldn't be, it should be CNAMEd.

I confirm the same response when I paste (rather than click) in the link and add that the IE tab is labeled "Central Florida Photographer" and etc. However, all I can add is that's really odd. Seems like it gets hijacked. I'd start with the previous responder's suggestion - seems like a confident reply.

Have you been to that other site recently? If so, close IE and restart - maybe cache is twisted.

Whoops. I just realized that Denise is a SM Hero. Which leads me to suggest that maybe her handle should be "Major Grins" rather than simply "Major grins." As in Major Major.

Thanks guys. It's so odd...whenever I enter the domain with "www" in front of it, I get a page that looks like this:

http://img.skitch.com/20100228-1un18j7qies72yjkyr6yqrmnm4.jpg

But when I enter just http://photodesignbynora.com (no WWW in front of the domain), it works correctly. Yes, Denise, is correct, I have my domain set up with a redirect page (an HTML index page with redirect) that takes you to my SmugMug site. I am going to try to get everything set up as it should be, but for now, I need the email to work and according to my host, if I change the nameservers my email will no longer work correctly. I tested it once, and they were correct, so changed it back. Once I get my email MX records set up to run through a Google Apps account for it, I will make the necessary changes.

But, I have been unable to figure out why this is happening to me. Everyone else seems to get the correct redirect to SmugMug, whether they use WWW or not. I am at a loss? :(

And I did try shutting my computers down, rebooting, clearing cache, etc. Still no luck. :(
