I did a quick process of these two from about 10 shots. Comments, good or bad are always welcome. These cannot be reshot so this is what I have.
To the rear MARCH!! (if only sunflowers followed orders).

So I did an ABOUT FACE. In the full image, one can see lots of bumble bees on the sunflowers.

Thanks for looking,
Chris
Note: One of the sunflower shots (not necessarily either of these two) will go to KPOTD.

I like the idea that's behind those shots. Of these two, I like the first one better, simply because the colors seem a little washed out (probably by harsh light) in the second one. Also I think it's kind of interesting to see the back of the sunflowers for a change. :)

Hi Marlof,
Most of my shots of this field are of the sunflower backs due to the sun. I was driving by and had to stop and get into the field. A farmer was driving by on his tractor and slowed down to see who was in the fields. Once I waved at him, he sped off unconcerned. A right friendly place central Tennessee is.
Unfortunately, the lighting and heat were very harsh; I was sweating up buckets by the time I left the field. These shots would have been better at a different time of the day, but that wasn't an option.
Thanks for the comments,
Chris
I find the first one very funny... as if they are all waiting to get inside that shack :):

That's funny Raz:rofl,
I never noticed that but they do seem to be pointing towards the door. Maybe it's "the day of the triffids" all over again, just not people eating sunflower triffids.
Thanks for the observation, I'll have to look at my other shots for this.

Hello Chris,
What an abundance of sunflowers.
I especially like the first frame and the compostion--the way the barn is cut and the postion of the sunflowers. There is a great contrast between the color of the rusted barn and the yellow sunflowers.
I love this field of sunshine.

I like them both, but really love the first one. They do look as if they are waiting to get into the barn! Well done!

I'll get a few more processed. When I saw this field, I was thinking KPOTD (would be a first). The red structures and bright yellow flowers really struck me. I'm thinking there was at least 20 acres of sunflower here; I'd have to had a wide angle lens to get the whole field. I think VanGough did his painting here:rolleyes. Not!
Thanks again all for your comments,
Chris
