Having Client's Proofs and Portfolio

Is there a way to have two "galleries"- I need one for my clients-so I can password protect them. Then I want to have one that I can make categories(ie: children, wedding, and etc)- I want this to be called Portfolio. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You probably want to use categories for these.

Category = Portfolio
Galleries for each of the topics you listed, all assigned to the Portfolio category.

Category = Clients
Galleries for each client, password-protected as needed.
