Had to get this shot on my drive back home from Yosemite on Saturday. The only thing I may do differently would be a pano-crop. http://www.digitalgrin.com/images/smilies/ne_nau.gif

Comments/suggestions? http://www.digitalgrin.com/images/smilies/headscratch.gif

Nice colors in this shot. I personally wouldn't do the pano crop, since you'd lose on the color range in the sky, and I love big skies when it comes to sunsets. The only thing: the area on the ground is a bit dark, there's not much happening there. If you shot this in RAW it might be easy to do a different exposure for the bottom part (a bit lighter), and then blend the images where the sky and the ground are differently exposed.

Thanks Marlof. I liked the sky too which is why I kept in in, but I thought maybe a Pano would work too. It was shot in RAW. I may try your suggestion.

Lovely shot, Mike. Is the snow gone from Tioga Pass yet? When I was there in May I had to go the long way around via Monitor and Kit Carson Passes because Tioga was snowed in. Added 300 miles to my trip on the motorcycle (I came out of Alabama). Then the floods came and closed the park to incoming visitors and they flooded out a couple of the campgrounds in the valley. I sure hope the weather is better there now. I bet the falls really flowed after I left. :D

Thanks Dixie! Not too much snow left in the mountains right now. I was up there the day the pass opened and there wasn't much laying around.
