Is there a flash bracket out there for placing the flash under the camera? I don't remember seeing one. Quite by accedent I shot this one with the camera upside down. Well, I knew it was upside down, I just only had one hand and turning it to myself it ended up this way. The on board flash gave what I find to be rather pleasent lighting on my niece's face. I would like a way to duplicate this without inverting the camera. Maybe I am blind but I can't seem to find a bracket that will do this.

Mount the brakcet upside down?
BTW. You know in that picture, with that effect, you look like one of those guys parents are always cautioning their kids to stay away from. You remember the ones, "now hunny if this man approaches you kick him in between the legs as hard as you can and run".

James - are you not able to fire your flash as an off-camera remote?

James, I have the Really Right Stuff bracket and I think it could be mounted this way.
Rather than mount from the tripod screw, it fits on the side of the L bracket so you could assemble it "upside down" and it would work.
I don't like the effect personally, but don't let that stop you being creative.

LOL, yeah, I know, that's not a good shot anyway, I just like the lighting.

Well, my Nikon SB600 has its own attachable stand-up base. Maybe you can get one of the same?
