I am in the process of trying to make my Smugmug site more presentable, I would be very happy to hear comments/suggestions if you have a min to look. I don't have the time/experiance to do some of the really cool stuff with it, but to me it's just not right.

Nice site. One suggestion, you have alot of galleries showing on your home page. Maybe create
subcatagories and add galleries there.

Thanks, yes, I was thinking about that, but have kinda hit a mental road block on how to arrange them.

I agree with Allen's comment.

When you're thinking about a layout, how about your splash page having a single dominant image and headline, with info in smaller type? And then lead them into the wider choices? That way their eye knows what it's supposed to look at first, and you can help guide your visitors more effectively?
