Hi, do you now how to keep the update line and hide description below thumbnails in sub-cat boxes (http://michael-bastia.smugmug.com/Fine-Art-Print)? but i want to still keep the description in galleries.

Thank you, Mika.

PS: recently i have find a very cool kind of "FotoFusion video clip from Jay-Z", to see it go to my "photo collection (http://michael-bastia.smugmug.com/)" and click the link who say "Jay-Z FotoFusion vidéo clip" just below my nav-bar, the photo montage is nicely done, tell me what do you think ok this clip.

Mika - while I can't help with this issue please consider the following:
Three flash-based elements, including the banner. An embedded third-party toolbar at the bottom. Biography, maps, timelines, keywords, and galleries all on the homepage. Wow - that is one busy homepage!

None of these elements actually resize their widths to fit my monitor's size, too.

The elements on your homepage do not resize on my laptop. I can only see your site with a horizontal scroll bar.

The banner resizes, but as I shrink the browser window the subcategories bar slides under other components on the screen so it is no longer visible. Your bio box text, your map, and your galleries do not fit across the window. I suspect that you have sized it under the assumption that viewers will be using wide screens.

Yes, i think today in 2010 most people use wide screen monitor, you are right as you say i have re-set the size of all my home-page boxes at exactly 1350px:

#homepage {width: 100%px;}

#category,
#homepage {width: 1350px;}

But still, i'm sure a few millions around the world keep and use their old scare monitor, but it's OK for me.

Can't use 100%px - use 100% or px, but not both.

Also - you' be surprised how many 800px x 600px and other non-widescreen monitors are still in use today.

From September 2008 for All SmugMug:
1024 x 768: 32.95%
1200 x 800: 17.76%
1280 x 1024: 13.81%
1440 x 900: 8.97%
1680 x 1050: 7.99%
1920 x 1200: 4.03%
800 x 600: 3.62%

SmugMug Heroes could probably come up with more recent stats, too.

It may be all right for you, but you are overlooking the fact that many people use laptops without an external monitor. Your site is too wide for laptops.

Do you know your viewers well enough to know that they aren't seeing the same thing that I'm seeing?

RogersDA (http://www.dgrin.com/member.php?u=10164) is right for this (it was a bad code manipulation i guess) so i have set my home and categories pages on 80%, can you on your computer if every (http://michael-bastia.smugmug.com/) think work good?

Thank you very much Denise and RogersDA to have notice this problem to me, Mika
