I was going through my shots of Bodie and I thought I'd try to give them a "vintage look" my question is.. are they appealing at all?

Great job at the edits. The only thing that looks way wrong is the car in the photos. The rusty car would not have been invented yet when photos of that type were done. Other shots without such items would be very convincing though.

:lol3 Pretty neat idea and nice execution. Did you model these after images you'd seen? I'd love to visit Bodie.

I like your treatment and Bodie is a wonderful place to shoot for this. I like your coloration of these, but the splotches and lines are too consistent. The scratches should vary in thickness a little bit. If each shot was independent, it may have a different feel, but they all line up with each other as well as the splotches.

Other than my nitpicking, I like what you've done. I still see hints of color in them, is that my monitor or is there still some color.

Thanks for sharing,
Chris

I really like them aged. They look great together. Not sure if I like the rounded corners, but other than my unwarranted opinion of that part, you've done :clap exceptional work!

Very convincing conversion Ed...except for that car shot! :D I haven't been to Bodie for a few years, looks like I need to get out there again!

Ed,

Great job! I like the photo processing, but think if you could work on the edge effect it would br perfect.

Very vintage

I like the results

I think a sepia tone would also enhance the vintage feel
