Wonderful leading lines ....carries the viewer off into the horizon and feels like it goes on forever. Really nice.

Very nice image annnna. Welcome to dgrin. I like the depth of focus extending from the near foreground all the way to the horizon.

Could you describe the technique you used to create this image?

I don't know that I can add anything that hasn't already been said, but my first thought was, "Wow. Great lighting."

Wow, I didn't expect so many responses. Thanks to all for your encouraging words! :D

Pathfinder, as for the technique: I took five or six vertical shots and stitched them with Panorama Factory. Post-processing included separate adjustment of levels for the foreground and the sky. Then, I ran the polarizing filter action on the photo, and finally applied some USM. I was actually surprised the polarizing effect could be imitated so well, and I would have used the real filter in front of the lens if I had one. Oh yes, and the camera I used was the trusty Canon A80. Love that little camera!
