Hi,

My understanding is that I really only need to create maybe a couple of watermarks. I then "attach" the watermarks to my pics AFTER they are uploaded to Smugmug. I do not own Photoshop. I have Lightroom. I'd hate to have to purchase a program that creates watermarks if it is not something I will use after I create a few watermarks. Anyone know of an easy to use free Watermark program. Can one create a watermark in some common program I may already have?

Thanks Much.....Tom

I created my watermark with Gimp. It is a free tool, available at http://www.gimp.org/.

Although the watermark tutorial was written for Photoshop, you should be able to use it as a starting point, will just need to "translate" some of the names of things to Gimp's names. http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1690196
