"add caption" box at bottom of images

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone new a trick for getting rid of the grey "add caption" box underneath images? It only shows as a grey bar in visitor view which is what I am hoping to get rid off or hide. I have read the feeds about going to the 'old' journal setting, however I would like the images to remain large and centred.
