Is that Mt Whitney in the background?

Is the shadow from moonlight, perhaps?

Very nicely captured!

thanks!

It's actually Lone Pine peak (Mt.Whitney is to the right and obscured by the arch) but shadow is indeed from the moon.

Gotcha, I've never seen Mobius.

I had to google to find that it is in the Alabama Hills

Great shot! :thumb

I keep meaning to make a trip up there as it's not that far from me, just haven't found the right weekend yet.

I've photographed that very arch but never as well as you captured it. This is the first night shot I've seen of it and it works very well!

Love the richness of colors and depth of the image :thumb

Very nice, I love the idea! I'd consider darkening the arch a bit, though. It seems a little too bright when compared to the rest of the moon-lit landscape.

very cool... did you do any "light-painting" on this, or was that all natural light?

thanks for comments!

Ooh! I like it.

Only comment, I don't like the color of the LED flashlight on the rock. I'd suggest a warming gel.

I picked LED because it's color temperature matches moon light more closely. But I do have take lit with warmer incandescent flashlight, although I haven't processed that yet.
