Can someone give me the javascript I would use to move the Viewing Style button to the same row where the Buy and View Cart buttons reside? I've already moved my Slideshow and Share buttons to that row using the Javascript FAQ.

FYI, I looked at five of your galleries and didn't find a single one where the Style button was the only button above the cart button row. When asking a question like this, please include a link to a specific gallery you're asking about.

Apologies for not including a link. Yes, for most of my galleries, the style button is in line with the other buttons. But for my newer galleries, it sits above. For example:
www.knoppermann.com/Various/Miso-Ramen (http://www.knoppermann.com/Various/Miso-Ramen)
or
(http://www.dgrin.com/www.knoppermann.com/Various/Vanunus-in-Sydney-Spring-2010)www.knoppermann.com/Various/Vanunus-in-Sydney-Spring-2010 (http://www.knoppermann.com/Various/Vanunus-in-Sydney-Spring-2010)

Actually, it seems like the new galleries Im posting now are behaving differently from all my others. Another example of this is that my new galleries (these two above are examples) don't have their description etc. hidden like all my other galleries do. I posted a message in another thread about this yesterday (here (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?p=1609474#post1609474)) but I haven't got a reply. It seems like my problems are tied together. :scratch I'm not sure where to go from here.

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.

AlexYou didn't comment on my previous suggestion. Why not just lock the style of those galleries to the Smugmug style in gallery settings and then the Style button will disappear - problem solved.

In the gallery listings, you can hide both description and update time site-wide with this CSS:

.miniBox p.description, .miniBox p.updated {display: none;}

I would prefer to keep my style button there (in line w' other buttons) to give viewers the option. This has been achieved in 95% of my many galleries but for some reason not my newer ones. Instead of hiding the button, is there a way to actually fix this problem?

cheers
Alex

(and thank you for providing the solution to part 2 of my problem)

(and thank you for providing the solution to part 2 of my problem)Can you provide a link on your site where the Style button is on the same line as the Cart button? I see it inline with Share and Slideshow in galleries where there is not Cart button, but I don't see it ever inline with the cart button. It appears to me that the only difference between your galleries is that you have the buy/cart disabled in some galleries and present in other galleries. Did you see my answer to your question about gallery descriptions in the gallery listings?

You're right! That's odd. If I disable printing (i.e., the shopping cart) then the 'style' button jumps back inline with the slideshow and share buttons (www.knoppermann.com/Various/Miso-Ramen).

If I enable printing then things go a bit skewif (www.knoppermann.com/Various/Vanunus-in-Sydney-Spring-2010)

So it seems that the 'view cart' and 'buy' buttons are the culprits!

So there are 2 easy solutions to the problem:
1) lock the style so the button doesnt appear
2) disable 'printing' so the shoppng cart button doesnt screw things up

A more difficult solution would be to ensure all of my buttons line up on the same line, including the shopping cart if I so choose to have it enabled (and which yes, I do want enabled).

Am I helping you get closer to a solution? Surely, there must be Pro users who have all their buttons lined up perfectly....

You are running a script that moves the Share and Slideshow buttons to the same line as the cart button when the cart buttons exist. When the cart buttons don't exist, it doesn't move them. That script doesn't do anything with the style button (it assumes you've locked the style so there is no style button). The script probably could be modified to move the style button too, but then you probably have too many buttons in a row (five) to fit on smaller screens without layout issues.

You are correct on the two easy solutions.

All right.... :rolleyes

I'll go with solution 1 or 2 since I don't have one for 3. Slightly annoying but I appreciate your help anyway John
