I was able to shoot with a faster shutter speed than I normally do due to better than normal lighting conditions. I was pretty happy with this one (sharper for a change), as was the goalie.

Goalie's eyes are focused on the puck, nice capture.

Pretty good Stephanie. Did you do selective coloring or are the boards not white and yellow? :rofl

Tim-
I did not do any selective coloring. I bumped up saturation in the picture +1. The boards are white and blue, this was at Providence College. The lighting was very bright but had a really funky color cast to it so I had trouble setting my white balance. I'm wondering if when trying to correct for the white balance it did something to the color of the bottom of the boards. The entire gallery of pictures from this game has the bottom of the boards this color. You got me thinking because I never really paid attention before to the bottom color of the boards. I went thru px from the different rinks we play in and there are quite a few that have the blue at the bottom versus the yellow. The picture below had no PP done other than a little cropping (sorry for the watermark).

This one is from the same spot 2 years ago but taken before I owned the 70-200 2.8 and was taken with my old Rebel instead of the 40D. Also before I really new anything about PP.

Steve- Thanks, I thought it was pretty neat to capture how focused the goalie was.

It's a really really nice shot. I think with some more PP it would be outstanding.

The bottom kick plate is gray at this rink, here is one from last year at the same rink.
