I took this shot this afternoon and have been going back and forth staring at it. It's just a simple shot but I really like it.I think before I took up photography I would have never thought twice about something I see everyday as I leave my front door. Today I looked at it from every angle, walked around it, got on my hands and knees trying to catch it just right. I even smelt it . Just wanted to share what was going on in my head.. Anyone relate?

Isn't it funny how once a person becomes interest in Photography that everything takes on a whole different look.

We begin to see things differently to how most folks see the same view.
I like the Pine Cone image you have posted, bet it would look even better with snow or icicles hanging off it :D

I've also walked around things trying to figure out what the best angle would be, and sometimes nothing seems to work :dunno I look at these occassions as good learning sessions......the fact that the thing even captured your interest, and then had you looking at it on different angles to me shows you knew what you were after.

Good shot Eric, and I can relate to your story........Skippy (Australia)

Hi Eric...

I love this shot. NOt only can I relate to what you did, but I also find myself doing the same things. As photpgraphers-we use all of our 5 senses--they are heightened to a different level---and--we also develop a sixth sense as well---imagination.

Great shot.

I can definitely relate. I find myself looking at things intensely and with lots of thought that before I wouldn't have even noticed.

Nice image.

.. Anyone relate?

Absolutely!

Beautiful shot! Wonderful how you can send your feelings, what your senses picked up, all the way over here :):

Well, yes and no, re relating.

I just personally see birds everywhere............

I have no imagination: just see birds.

I absolutely love your pine cone.

I suppose I can relate in a way. We don't have pine cones, but sometimes I will get involved with something like the patterns sand makes.

Not having the ability to hear much all of my life, I have been quite visual anyway, but I have no imagination. I am an observer.

Soooooooooooooo, what could you do with peanut butter and the Challenge?
