I know this may be kinda difficult since this is sort of an abstacty kind of photo, but I would appreciate everyones feedback on this one. I like it, but its difficult to tell how well these abstract type of images will be recieved. Arty or just plain blurry. My DW says, and I quote, "it makes me dizzy". Anyone else have a different reaction? This is at f/22, 1s, ISO 100, natural light. TIA.

Thomas,
I think this is a good idea because of how the colors can blend in but I think the type of motion isn't working out for this shot. It seems too "directional" to me. Maybe a slower shutter speed with a "softer" radial motion might do the trick.... You may also want to try to overlay a sharp shot with the blurred shot, play with the blend intensities, and see what you get.

ErichHi Thomas, I think Erich6 has hit on an idea here.. I was looking at thinking.. there is something missing, there is not "enough" in this picture to hold my interest but that would change if there were another element like another layer peeping through somewhere...

TIA.I agree with the posters above, and this is almost one of these pictures where some PS work could emulate a lensbaby effect, with part extreme blur/motion, and just a couple of details in focus/frozen. Then again, what do I know :dunno .
XO,
edit: Also, I think the motion is right in an area/amount where it is not immediately apparent it was done on purpose. It is somewhat in no mans land between focus/frozen, and artistic blur.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I don't have a sharp version to play around with, but I'll try something later. This was shot on a tripod with remote shutter. I was trying to get a macro shot, but the wind wouldn't stop blowing so I tried some motion shots as an experiment. I thought some of the sharp edges might make an interesting look. Back to the drawing board. Thanks for the helpful comments.
Thomas,
At first glance I didn't think too much of it, but after looking at it and playiny with it I think it has some merit.
Maybe as a faded background, or element in a larger project, or maybe a little PS.
I fooled with it a little, I hope you don't mind......I think yhis has multiple possibilities but you have to extractit.

Hey Sam, thanks for stopping by. I like the effect you achieved. (see the portrait area for a thread with some filtered shots of mine.) What filter did you use? I'm glad you posted the reworked image. I'm not against any cropping, filtering, stacking, blurring or whatever to get a good effect.
