I took the advice of Shay, Kaos, and David and fared better today, at least I think so.
I'll throw up a few more on the other forums tomorrow.
B-17 Talk about fun being this close, 4800Hp makes such a sweet sound! I had a B-25 even closer.

I believe this one's a B-25. I really like that first shot of the B-17. Well-captured.

The comp and levels with the first shot above are very well done. The other two are easily fixed in PP with levels, histogram adjust or curves. Save all shots! Even those that are real bad. You never know what your abilities or software will be able to do in the future.

Hi there.......you did really well with these shots, I went to my very first Air Show this year, but didn't really know what I was doing having not owned the camera for long..........can't wait till the show comes around again to have another go, next time I will be more experienced with my gear.

Thanks for sharing, Air Shows are just amazing to watch.......good work.

Thanks guys.
You're right TristanP, it is a B-25. I wasn't paying attention typing.
Any thoughts on the 3rd shot as to what could improve the quality? I'm thinking of trying that as my first really enlarged print just for the heck of it.

Did you take the photo in RAW? If so you have more options, but I think all it needs is some levels, selective color, and sharpen for print.

Here is a quick example of that treatment. (Very hard to work with small file)

Here are two I shot over a year ago at an air show.

Hey Sam,
Great shot! Where's the other one? I like the BW for the Warhawk! I'm going to try that on some of mine.
The B-15 front shot was taken in RAW, so I'll have to experiment a bit. I should probably try printing out a few as 4" x 6" to see how the colors look.
