Howdy Richard,
Thanks very much!!! The B&W seemed to fit the Mood of the Image more
than a False Color Conversions.

Awesome fog. I especially like the B&W processing.
Howdy Anthony,
When we had arrived in the area, the Fog was so thick the Fog Horn had gone off, and then it slowly cleared, then reappeared.

that's really nice, Craig. an IR that's very easy on the eyes. my lungs expanded when I first looked at it. so much sea air filled space. beautiful range of tones and sharpness-detail
in fact, it's so much like a well done B&W I wonder if there is a genuine advantage going off into IR for it. how do you see the relative merits?

Howdy Neil,
Thank you very much, glad you liked it so much, it's one of my Wife's Favorite from the Trip. Of course, she's a beach/water person, and this is her environment, and was truly a "peaceful walk" for her.
Regarding, IR and B&W, with this image, I really like the way it enhanced the Sea Grasses and turned them from green/dark to a light/white. and I think it also helped the mood a bit. That is not saying that a nice B&W color Conversion wouldn't have had the same impact, just a difference in tones and gradients.
Thanks again!!

Wow Craig!
This is really a beautiful image. I love the tonal gradient in the sky and the sea grass in the foreground. The lone figure on the beach really emphasizes the peacefulness of the scene. :clap :clap

Criag I was wondering the same thing -- is it better to do an IR first and then convert to BW to get such a good BW photo?

Howdy Mary,
Most times I work the images and due the conversion and then process in either "Colorized" or B&W or Both<G>.
Some images seem to just come through better as B&W moreso than colorized.
