The exposure looks great, it's sharp, and the colors are spot on.
But I'm having trouble figuring out what I'm looking at. I can't find one thing that really grabs my attention. I'm torn between the bridge in the background and the glass shapes in the foregound.
Maybe try having one or the other. It's looks like it would make two great shots instead of one mixed together.

there was something that just didn't sit right & I think Eric has nailed it.
Having said that, the colours exposure & sharpness are spot on.
If you're trying to convey a busy vibrant place I'd suggest have some people walking through the shot.

My first thought is WOW! There's a lot of glass there :D
Technically, everything is very nice. Good exposure, nice reflection, color, etc.
But the biggest thing for me is a lack of focus. Not that the image isn't crisp but
that I don't know what I should be looking at. There's no clear subject.
I really like what you've done and would like to see another shot with a clearly
defined subject. Looking forward to it in fact.
Thanks for sharing!

I was going to say pretty much what everyone else has said. It's "busy". This looks like a beautiful place to be doing the low-light shooting though. Find yourself a different angle/vantage point. If there is really too much stuff around to make a wider shot work, then take in a tighter shot.
As for the technical side - spot on. Perfect time of the day to get that great blue in the sky. Very crisp. Perfect exposure. Beautiful colors.

My thoughts were that the bridge the exhaust cone (the upside down stainless steel cone) and the glass were the subjects. That the upside down triangle the three of them make, the triangle shapes of the glass, the angles of the suspension wires, the angles of the exhaust cone all are repeated elements (although inexactly, which I guess means to me that they are all similar but not the same). My goal was to get all three in the picture to be honest. The glass (being see-through and all) isn't as strong of an element in the picture as the bridge and the exhaust cone. So perhaps if I got a bit higher I could emphasize them a bit more (that would bring out another element that is kind of obscured in the background, the tacoma dome.
Anyhow, thanks for the comments.

Let me start by saying that your shot has inspired me to to get myself down to the museum. I have been putting off a visit for far too long, and the lighting is quite nice this time of year. I like the way that you have captured the color and textures in the image. With that said, I am going to break out of the box a bit on my comments by limiting them to working with the image at hand, rather than the image desired (i.e. how it could be shot differently). I do not necessarily disagree with the previous comments, it just that sometimes we have to work with what we have. Assuming that, I would crop the image tighter on the left, perhaps up to the pillars on the bridge. I realize that you lose that beautiful moon, but a crop seems to bring the remaining part of the image together just a bit more.
Now, having offered up my two cents worth, I have probably cursed my visit to Tacoma!

IMHO, I think the shot is great just the way it is. I feel what you felt when you decided to go for it... it's a winner! Keep up the good work.

Hi! I'm new here - just hanging around while I wait to see if anyone can help me with a problem on a different thread.
Anyway, personally, I think that photo is BRILLIANT! I wonder why everyone thinks a photograph has to be immediately recognizable? Technically, it's as close to perfect as I think one can get, and it's visually exciting. What more do you want?
Just sayin' :)
