As I was walking through walmart today I was thinking about how I was going to make a home made reflector, and then I stumbled across the window shades for vehicles.
This is the one I picked up;

Any ideas or anyone that has tried it? If it doesn't work I'll have a sunshade for my vehicle :)

Seems like it would work and probably pretty easy to store and carry.
I'm curious to see how it works??

I recommended a car sunshade as an inexpensive reflector in an earlier thread. If you shop around you'll also find one in gold which gives you that nice warm light... also, you can find the fabric versions that roll up nice and small. Mine is from Brookstone ($19.95) and snaps down to a 9" circle. It's just like the "professional" photographer's models and aims light nicely with a smooth surface.
The type you show might reflect a bit harshly and the folds might make light bounce all over the place. But let us know if it works out.
