I have am looking at buying the manfrotto 190CXPRO3 Tripod i have read the reviews on B & H and they are all positive. For a head picked out the manfrotto RC2 ball head. Is this a good head? If not could you point me out to another alternative? Thanks!

488RC2 is real popular and thats what I have with my 055xprob. I bought this about 2 weeks ago too. Everything is nice and solid!

I've got a 190XPROB and absolutely love it! It has done everything I've asked of it for the past year or so and I've no complaints. I've got a 322RC2 ball head on it. Sometimes I wish I had a little more control, but all and all I love it. I'm glad I went with it instead of the other options out there. Again, it's been rock solid as well.

I have the identical tripod/head and love them...extremely sturdy. no worries having my equipment on it and stepping away.

I have that combo and it's great as long as your lens isn't too big.

Same combo here and it's been great for me, including with the Tamron 70-200 f/2.8
