Some very cool shots, with the blue sky color, Ben. But the tern w the fish, it is outstanding, IMO.

I suppose I could ask why fluffy white clouds are grey where you live, but then, ..............I do have green algae.

Very good, though. I like the way you shot up at the GBH, too.

is that first shot a sea cull :scratch :dunno did you use usm -- i have no idea what that is but everyone talks about it ,it looks like a seacull or is thaty an osprey :huh nice shots old man thanks for the pm :thumb

USM (unsharp mask) in photoshop, used on raw files after conversion (usually a tiff file) used for "local contrast enhancement". Don't worry about the names.
Just set the sliders to:
top one - 40-60
2nd one - 20
bottom one - 2
and watch the magic :thumb
these are not hard #'s just a starting point :thumb

Excellent shots Ben. That 300mm is a really fine lens. It works very well with the 1.4 TC also giving you a reach of 420mm.
