Team USA refers to USA hockey, and these guys are the local rinks' house team. Nothing special, except my son has played in their system for 7 years now...

Is he playing on the development team? That's pretty cool.

Some great shots in the series. #8 & #11 are my two favorites.

I absolutely loved the shots, what were you shooting at to get those pictures?
And your WB is perfect, my eyes dont even see that good in hockey rinks. It looks like you shot higher than 2.8 and pretty fast at that, I guess thats where the Sport Shooter comes in huh, lol

IAN, he wishes! USA hockey is the overall program that feeds the Olympic team, but is not exclusive. It starts with local house teams and leagues and works it's way up to Juniors.

His team is not very well ranked (although my son has gotten interest). Sean will play High School football/hockey and we'll decide from there if/when he moves up

I shoot from the bench, with a D700, a 70-200 2.8 and a 300 2.8. I light eh rick with 4 SB800 speedlights triggered by pocketwizards... I set a custom WB every time I shoot...

Ah, it is a good wish :)

In SJC, Hockey has become more of an interest for HS athletes and there are in-house teams as well as travel teams--I've had the opportunity to watch the level of play improve considerably over the years. I've had the opportunity to officiate from the little guys on up to college (more club level). Good times.

Great job Tim. Exposure is awesome. Some of the best hockey shots I've seen in the sports forum.
