Why don't they have all those feathers anymore?

Those are what I have from July 4 th, that I know of right now. I do have fliers, but not that day. I am just now really working on them. Will go later this week. It is really hard, though. To get flyers. They make a game out of it late in the day. Earlier they don't move. Later on, they make up games, they fly very fast, making dives unexpectedly then land on the tree as my lens is still trying to get it together. All of the flyers are difficult to get at Magnolia, but the snowys are the worst. And the exposure has to be set just for them, so an accidental get is not a good get.

Lovely birds :)

Why do they sometimes look fluffy though?? Is it just decorative feathers that get blown by the wind, as they look so delicate that they'd serve no purpose for flight.

Nice shots, Ginger. I love the birds, but can't answer your question. I know nothing about those birds. :thumb
