She's a little cutie..........Glad to hear your happy with your new gear, I know exactly how you feel........it's a wonderful feeling when you look at the results from your new gear and are pleased with what you are seeing.

Welcome, and nice job on the photos. Looks like you've put your XT to good use with a willing model (big plus). The shots are sharp with wonderful expressions:clap.

A big thanks to all. I am still learning how to use the camera. I screwed up a whole batch because I confused myself with the AV settings. They all came out with blurred foregrounds and sharp backgrounds. Grrrrrr! Oh well, like I said I am learning and mainly using the manual mode. I am shying away for the auto modes because they don't teach me as much. It sure is fun to have a good camera though. I've never owned a prosumer camera before. I've only had throw aways or point and shoot digitals.

Sounds like you're doing it the right way. I'm still learning my XT, and I've used film SLRs before.
