Hey, folks! I know many of you SoCal peeps, but the ones I know best don't really shoot weddings, and the wedding photogs I know aren't in SoCal. So here I am. :D

Here's the deal: one of my oldest, dearest friends is getting married next year, and she's looking for a photographer. I promised to make some recommendations. So read a little below about this unique and awesome couple, and if you're interested, drop me a note in this thread. I'll forward names and portfolio links on to the bride-to-be.

This is in no way, no how going to be your standard wedding. The ceremony is going to be in the middle of a forest. She's way into nature, studies birds for a living, and was likely some sort of wood nymph in a past life. I would not be surprised if she walked the aisle in hiking boots. :D But I've seen pictures of her dress choices, and they are all very romantic, flowy, and white.

In short, they are atypical, down-to-earth, and adorable together. They are sweet and quirky, and they are keeping things small and intimate because, in the bride's words, "It's a celebration of our love, not a show." So if you'd like to shoot an offbeat wedding for two amazing people, let me know below! :thumb

She sounds like my dream client! I would like to put some of my atypical weddings together for her to see, but definitely curious as to their actual wedding date.

Thanks, all! I know dates are very important, and my friend is just waiting to secure the reception location (a huge cabin, we think!) before announcing the dates, which she's very close to doing. As soon as I have dates, I'll update here. :thumb

I live in Angelus Oaks which is MUCH better that commercialized Big Bear. :> This wedding sounds fun, I have not done weddings for a while now because of the economy people think we are extraneous when everyone has a camera anyway. Sounds like they remember how to have fun. I wish them my best!

I would recommend my friend Nathan Petty. I've worked with him on a wedding in Las Vegas. He is based out of San Diego. Very fun guy and I'm sure he would be up to something like this if he is available.

Let me know if they need an extra shooter. I am a hop from Big Bear and am a nature specialist. :clap And congrats for the happy couple!
