Fantastic bird shots!! I love them!
However, I would never move to California with a background color like you all seem to have found.................is that really it???
Perhaps some pop? An Overlay of a different region of the USA?
I love the birds, really do.

Jeff - great set of bird shots. Too bad it was so grey and gloomy. It did give you some soft light though.
Love the comp on the NH - I think you could probably bring up the exposure and contrast on him though.

thanks so much ginger. in my experience the gloom is more of a summer phenomenon. most of the year, at least where i grew up in san diego, is pretty free from the marine layer. mornings by the ocean seem to be the worst. i'm looking to get some evening shoots in today or tomorrow...i'll post them so you can see that we really do have some background colors out herehttp://dgrin.com/images/smilies/icon10.gif nothing like what you have to deal with, but prettier than the summer gloomy gray!
