A few shots from my garden.

Who won the standoff? ;) I really like the first one. Looks like he's ready to attack any moment. The dragonfly shot is amazing and the title is brilliant to that picture. :)

Wow. I'm pretty much struck dumb.Is it that bad? Lol
I tried catching this same hoverfly on my 105mm macro lens- about 50 wasted shots later I gave up, but then tried switching to the other lens which has a longer focusing distance and got the above shot.

Who won the standoff? ;) I really like the first one. Looks like he's ready to attack any moment. The dragonfly shot is amazing and the title is brilliant to that picture. :)Thanks Zygote- the camera lens won.
Felt a bit sorry for the dragonfly- it was actually gusting wind which kept folding his wings down making him look like that.

Thanks Phil U and MuskyDude.

I had to get a shot of that hoverfly in flight- it takes great joy in buzzing me in the garden and when I say large that things body is about 1" long.
