Flowers from my friends garden

I'm outside of Chicago and it's been severely dry this year. Last I heard we are 9 inches below the average for rain. My friend's mom has let the grass die but is still nurturing her flowers. Here are a couple I took while dog sitting. Criticism and suggestions are more than welcome.

I think I like the second photo the best. I like how the fence shows up in teh background. Thankfully these were planted in a big pot so I didn't have to lay on my belly to get the picture. Nothing really special but I hope you like them. Almost forgot, these were taken on a 20D with a 10-22mm.

There both good, but 2nd one is best only cause of composition, JMHO though. :D
