First post, thought I'd jump right in for some c&c. Photography has been a hobby for many years. Since I've retired, I'd like to graduate from travel "snaps" to the incredible shots I see on SmugMug. I have a lot to learn! Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Wow, this is a very good shot. I do have one question though. Are its black stripes supposed to be blue-ish?

Other then that I really can't offer anymore critique, if you can even call what I said critique:rofl

Beautiful cat!!

Agree w/ Aaron that your image is blue, and not quite red enough. If you edit in CS, bump the red/cyan a bunch, and bring down the yellow/blue some. Clip the levels a bit to add some more contrast, and you have a really fine image there that has more 'pop' IMO.
