Seems to me there are two main ways to interpret this challenge. Have a picture that looks cool unexpectedly after a photographic error, or take a cool picture of something that seems to be an oops moment.

This is my attempt at the latter.

"Oops. Lowtide."

C&C appreciated.

I like it! It really speaks of the struggle. And makes me wonder how the species has survived so long.

The impression kind of looks like a face and beard.

What is that anyway?

Nothing wrong with the image. The title makes the image be an opps...but still not sure what exactly that creature is? A crab? Some kind of stingray? or a coconut shell?

It is a horseshoe crab. They are actually an arthropod and more closely related to spiders than to crabs.

Horseshoe crab. I came upon it on a sunrise walk. The tide had receded. It was struggling in place to get back to water, hence the tracks. I picked it up to move it to water, when the tracks interested me. Took the picture, then moved it to deeper water.

I see the impression, and I think of Squidward, from SpongeBob fame.

(That's what happens to you when the house is full of little kids.)
