It was amazing to see these birds so close up. They were all tethered to a post so it made it easy to get close. All of them had something or other wrong with them. One has been hit by a car, I don't remember about the other ones.

I wish I would have bought a pen and paper to write down what each one was but hopefully somebody will chime in with the name.

A falcon, this was the only pic I got of him. Not sure if the camera scared him or what but as soon as I took this he started trying to fly. He was tied to the post with a bungee cord so he just kept bouncing back, kinda sad really.

I believe this was a juvenile eagle :dunno

This guy was on Eagle Island. Him and his mate are not releasable back into the wild but can still live out side. He was guarding a nest box. We watched him for about 15 minutes and all he did was turn his head, constantly watching what was going on.

I believe the 2nd and 3rd pics are a Golden Eagle, I don't know what the first one is. I really like how the feathers are kinda bunched up on the bald eagle and that it has it's back towards you with it's head turned.

He never once moved his body, just his head. I think he was protecting his nest box with the mother eagle in it.

Thanks Ben!!

I wish it was in the wild but seeing as how I couldn't get that close in wild I guess I'll have to settle for these opportunities:rofl :D

Thanks Jeff!!

If I had known how much I would like this lens I would have goten it sooner. I'm still having a little learning curve with it. On moving objects, like ducks, I have a hard time getting a really sharp pic. But with practice it will come.
