OK, I see your eagle, etc, and I will raise you a hawk in the marsh, the wild. I honestly thought it was the other osprey parent.

The lighting I had to deal with was atrocious. Either his back or straight into the sun. Well, this is what I have. Then gotta leave!

You do get nice shots. I have a place I am going to call to see if I can get some of theirs. They rehab Birds of prey, etc.

These were after I hit the foot of the bridge, I was shocked to see him/her? Then I had to try to figure out how to shoot the thing. I couldn't see the LCD, I never can in bright sunlight, but I did put it into the plus range. I was glad to get what I did even if it wasn't an Osprey, of which I have many shots.

ginger (This was day before yesterday, but I have been holding them close to my heart.) By 2 PM, the marsh was practically empty of bird life. I started in the morning. Still stupid, and I am going to have to prepare better.

as AJ said, the composition of that first one is marvellous. That old dead tree adds so much character to the shot.

If I may be so bold as to offer a suggestion: the hazy look to the second shot can be all but eliminated in PSP9 with the "clarify" command. I think in Photoshop it's the shadows and highlights command that can be used for this purpose. Maybe users of Photoshop know of another way to do it??

PSP9's One Step Photo Fix is also very effective sometimes. If you would like to see what these techniques do to that image, just holler.

Purdy bird. Nice shots ......Ginger. That first one me likes. I also know a guy who has birds in his backyard that would be playing in photoshop with that image. :uhoh I think a very dramatic red sunset just might have appeared in the background .......magically. :):
