Hi,
Recently I'm starting to make my own actions to speed up my workflow. One problem I keep running into is how to save and close my images from the action. I'm not sure what is the correct process for this, should I record one save and close? :scratch
Any comments are welcome.
Thanks!
Rob

Rob Rob,
What are you wanting the action to do?
Do you want your action to go through an open-modify-save-close procedure on a bunch of files?
In CS (I don't have CS2 yet) the way to go about this is:
Start recording your action
Open one file (use File > open)
Modify the file
Save the file using Save As
Stop recording
Close your file
Go to the File Browser (Bridge now?)
Select the files you want to process
In the Automate Menu, select Batch
In the dialog that opens, select your new action
Make sure you have Override Action "Open" Commands checked
Make sure you have Override Action "Save As" Commands checked
The Batch dialog Destination section has a bunch of options for setting up where your batch processed files will be saved. Take a look and I'm sure you'll get the hang of what their doing. Once you have everything set, click OK. PS should run open each file you had selected, process them, save them and close them.
If this isn't what you were looking for, let me know!

Thanks Eric,
I actually found out my mistake. I didn't have any actions set for the save command and this part was missing. After I made the change I got it running thanks to your suggestions! :thumb
Thanks again,
Rob
