Which do you like best ? I have my doubts because I like them both very much. :D
My portraits are at Steve McCurry (http://www.stevemccurry.com/main.php)'s level. :wink

The eye contact in number one makes it tops for me, Antonio. Both are excellent, though. :thumb

Thank you Travis for your opinion. :D
Don't you think that there is more mystery on the second one ? :dunno

#1 for sure. More of the face (which is the story here) is visible and the eyes as thoth stated above make it better.

I actually feel like the expression in number two is a little forced. She doesn't seem to be looking away naturally. I think that's why number one feels so much stronger to me. :thumb

Another vote on #1. Perhaps if she wasn't looking so far off to the side, #2 would have more mystery, but as it sits, she does feel like she's hiding something, just not looking at us.

Thoth, :bow
The second picture is 2 seconds after the first one.
In fact she could be like - I want to get read of this Portuguese guy, bbrrrr... - and that is why she looked somewhere. She looked indeed to someone else who was behind me who was working in the same space.
This was shot outside, no special preparation, just: - Excuse me, can I take a picture of you ?...:D - and she was conducted to the place I wanted: under the shade near the trees, facing light.

Andrew, she is sited ? :scratch Sorry, no. She was standing, passing by to the back of the house.
:bow for your opinion. Much appreciated as the well as the others. :D:bow

Sorry, bad use of American idioms (phrasing). "As it sits" means "the way it is".

Definitely #1, I agree with all the above comments and I think too much of her left eye is hidden in #2. Great shot!
