Not sure if that makes sense, but here's the skinny. I exported my Animoto video to smugmug and used the embed code for my myspace page. I can't get it to autoplay though, even after I plugged in some parameters that set autoplay to true.

Where did you get these parameters? I am not aware of an option for that at this time.

I googled "autoplay swf file" or something like that, maybe added "html" in there. Lol. So you're saying I can't autoplay the embed at this time, right?

Correct. The code you found may not be compatible with our player.

You can "auto-play" a Animoto video, just add this parameter right before the "widget.js" in the embed code:

/autostart/true/widget.js

Yes, thank you. Becky has already given me that code as well. But myspace doesn't allow widget codes - It just gives a "..." and nothing else, which is why I had to use the smugmug html.

I hadn't realized you initially were using the Animoto code. I'll see if we can tweak the MySpace code for you to auto-start with our player.

Not sure if it fully solves this particular use case but the SmugMug embedded video player can now autoplay, see this wiki entry on how to enable it:

http://wiki.smugmug.net/display/SmugMug/Video+FAQ%27s

For now it requires some twiddling from the user but in the future this should be in a Configurator.
