Shot some club soccer on Sunday. The lights were so bad that I had to put away my 400mm f2.8 and my 70-200 f2.8 and pull out my 200mm f2 and run down the sidelines. Here is what I got. I never thought of doing it till this game. All at iso 3200. Not great but MUCH better than I expected.

those look a heck of a lot better than anything I could ever get with the lights around me! (Granted I don't have an f/2.0 in my bag...). No way the keeper would be that illuminated.:rolleyes Were these run through a noise reduction program?

Nice work! #2 is particularly cool.

You don't realize how great f/2 is until you use it in bad light. I used a Canon EF 35mm f/2 in a dimly-lit Halloween party at my daughter's school last Friday (just for fun, not a paid job) and looking at the results, you'd think the room was lit by floodlights...

I'm not sure those lights are that bad. Here is a couple of pics from a recent game at my local high school where I had to shoot at ISO 25600!

I actually quite like these, they have a mystical quality. Looks cold!!!

I'd say you did an excellent job with that bad lighting :)

I wish I could post that I shot a HS soccer game with 10K worth of lenses and the issues I had getting the most out of all of them, lol. :rofl

Nice looking soccer shots. And the noise-ninja seems to have done its job very well, as well. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, it's nice glass but it has its limitations. Love the 200 f2 though.:D
