Sun finally showed up today!

One thing I know is that these files require a different way of editing over what I'm used to with the 40D. They look harsher yet more detailed. I guess it will take time to get a handle on it. The only obvious advantage that I see is the ability to crop tighter and still have sufficient resolution.

New toy, huh? Man, that finch looks good though. :thumb

How's the sky noise level in that beast? Looks like you may have done some sky blurring there?

Cheers,
-joel

The noise is less than the 40D...but what is there is harder to get rid of. The best way I can describe it is that there are noise clusters instead of an even distribution. Probably a byproduct of higher resolution. This shot had selective NR done on the sky in NIK Dfine's auto mode. No blurring was done. This is an ISO 500 image.

wow, ISO500 is very noticeable.
