Nice portraits, I really like her expression in # 1. # 3 and 4 are very nice also. #2 you captured her eyes very well but the plant bugs me a little, it seems in a little rugged shape mainly in the greens. Great composition and DOF in all, although if you darkend the leaves in #3 above her left shoulder to match the rest of background it may look even better than it already does. Just my 2 cents.

Best regards,
douglas

Very nice series. *Really* nice lighting on #1. On #2 (I know she's a redhead), I would maybe have toned down the red a little bit, especially on her cheeks. The smile on #3 is cute enough for a closer crop :thumb

Thanks for showing

One and two have my vote of confidence, that is for expression and her beautiful eyes. The flowers on the side fight for attention with her eyes, I think it would have looked better without the flowers. That girl is a flower of her own... Great model!
I think I would focus mainly on her hair and eyes... Great assets

Love the shots! I find number one to be the best, with number two a close second. All are excellent for sure!

Who is she? A relative?

She is pretty. I like the one on my top right on the montage.

Good job as the photographer.

As a formal portrait, I think I would pick the lower left corner one, or, as a second choice, the larger one next to it. All are quiite good and she's a very photogenic model.

I'm going to be really critical here, because I like your shots very much :D I am totally awed by the first shot :thumb that one is definitely my favourite, the upper right picture in the collage however...
how could you butcher :hack her sweet li'll toes off? :wink

Thanks for sharing, she seems to be a great model and you make very good use of the F828!! :bow

That picture isn't cropped, sadly, too close. I was framing her in. I took about 18 with her sitting there with different expresions (she was getting good at it!) and that is one of the only ones with her toes cut off. I could try a repair job I suppose. :D

Thanks for the compliments!

Thanks Jerry!
I like those two as well. My #1 is the top left corner.

And yet, I do a shot like that with every model. ;) Oh well. She loved it, and she's my biggest critic!

Hi Ginger,
She's a friend from school - we're both 17.
Thanks! She did photograph well. It was funny because she took her hair out in the last 30 minutes of the 2 hour shoot. She was really relaxing. All of the shots I chose were of her with her hair out, except for one. It became natural and she was posing differently between each shot. 185 shots later and I have about 18 I like.
The shoot was done between 4:30 and 6:30, with most of these shots taking place after 6.
That montage really works well. :thumb

Thanks! I do this for all of my friends. It's being printed on 11x14 for her family.

I like 1 & 2. The eyes in the second shot are amazing. I started a thread awhile ago of favorite eyes and 2 fits right in with the kind of shot from Yuri that inspired the thread.
